This post is part of Nester’s 31 Day Challenge. You can find the intro post on my topic — Adjusting to a New Job — HERE.
The first day of a new job often sets the tone for the rest of the week. To avoid feeling frazzled, I recommend leaving your home at least 30 minutes early.
Giving yourself extra time to arrive at your new office will come in handy if you encounter unexpected traffic or delays. It also goes a long way to help you feel more relaxed and in control.
Additionally, arriving early gives you time to scope out the morning routines of your coworkers, find your new space, set up your desk and impress your boss.
Oh yes, arriving early is a heck of a lot more important than most people seem to think. Co-workers and bosses do notice when people are late.
